THE ORIGIN OF THE IGBO

FOR YOUR INFORMATION IGBO IS AN ADULTERATION OF THE WORD IBO OR HIBO OR HEBREW.

Genesis 49:19  Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.

Who is Gad? Gad was, according to the Book of Genesis, the seventh son of Jacob born by Zilpah.

Gad had seven sons which includes: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, ERI, ARODI, and ARELI.

THE ENORMOUS OPPORTUNITY

West Africa, predominantly Nigeria has a population surge in the modern history capable of anything (positive especially) but this surge can turn into a curse if not tapped into. So, with a (west Africa) population of 367 million people (UN, 2015), Nigeria leading with over 200 million (approx), we have the biggest market in our hands. Recently, (according to reports: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/12/fg-raises-alarm-nigerias-rate-population-growth/ ) the government has shown their confusion about the future by indicating fears on the population. The fears is that by 2040, Nigeria’s population growth would have quadrupled without commensurate amenities and employment to sustain it.
